Get ready to craft some loveable gnomes! We’re excited to offer a special chance for couples, friends, or families to design and hand-build their very own pair of gnomes, all from the comfort of your own kitchen or dining room.

Whether it's a "Date Night In" or a gathering of friends or family, crafting these charming ceramic companions are the perfect way to make some memories.

How It Works

No previous experience with clay is needed! We bring the clay, the tools, the specialized instruction, and we even handle the cleanup. You truly don't have to lift a finger—except to sculpt those adorable pointy hats and cute noses!

This workshop is held in two separate sessions. In the first part, we will focus on the construction phase, where you’ll hand-build and sculpt your gnome’s unique personality. The second session, a couple weeks later, is dedicated entirely to glazing, where you’ll bring your creation to life with colour and finish.

Please note that attending the second session to glaze your own piece is highly recommended for the full creative experience; however, if you are unable to return for the second part, we do offer an option to have our studio team glaze them for you, or an express class option, so they are still ready for pickup!

We handle the technical side—the firing. Your finished gnomes will be ready within one or two weeks of your final session, allowing for essential drying time and two professional kiln firings.

What You'll Create

In these hands-on sessions, each participant will craft one larger gnome, or one pair of smaller gnomes (perfect for any season). You'll learn simple hand-building techniques to create:

Whimsical conical forms (perfect for tall, floppy hats).
Textured beards or braids.
Mushroom, leaf or flower shaped accents.

The Details

Cost: Approximately $50 to $60 per participant (discounts available for larger groups)
Pieces Created: Pair of Small Gnomes (2 total) or 1 Larger Gnome per person
Duration: 1 to 2 hours building and 30 minutes to 1 hour glazing.
Travel: Additional travel expenses may apply depending on your area.

Single Session Option Available

Don't have time for two dates? Book our 90-minute Express Gnome Workshop for $45 per participant (1 gnome per person).
In this express option, we take care of the prep work and final glazing. We bring pre-rolled clay slabs so you can build and underglaze your gnome in a single session. We then transport your work to our studio to bisque-fire, hand-glaze with a protective clear glaze, and final-fire it for you. We also package and drop off your finished pieces approximately 3 weeks after your class.
